Before you go
- Set a budget for the evening and leave your cards at the hotel if that helps you keep to it.
- Decide when you will leave, not only how much you will spend.
- Never borrow, and never try to win back what you have lost.
Tools at the venues
City of Dreams Mediterranean and the C2 casinos, run by Integrated Casino Resorts Cyprus, offer:
- Voluntary limits on the money you spend gaming and on the number of visits per calendar month, set at a Melco Club service point.
- Short self-exclusion for one day, one week or one month. It cannot be cancelled once it starts.
- Long self-exclusion for 6 or 12 months from all ICR casinos, ending only when a return-to-gaming declaration is accepted.
Self-exclusion can be requested at the casino or by email to the venue's responsible gaming team. Hotel casinos in the north set their own policies; ask at reception or the cash desk.
Warning signs
- Gambling is no longer fun, or you feel you have to.
- You spend more than you planned, or lie about how much.
- You chase losses or borrow to keep playing.
- It affects your sleep, work or relationships.
